Maxi Stage 2

Description

This talk examines how AI is being used in courtrooms around the world today, drawing on the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice's AI Justice Atlas. Through case studies from Brazil, India, China, and the UAE, it maps both the promise and the risks — from clearing massive case backlogs to the dangers of bias, opacity, and deepfakes in judicial proceedings. It closes with the launch of a free global course with UNESCO to train judges and legal professionals on navigating AI responsibly.
