Description
Marco Galli is a Senior Counsel at PedersoliGattai, where he heads the Data Protection & Data Governance team and, since 2025, has also been responsible for the Space Law & Economy focus group.
He has gained considerable experience in end-to-end management of high-complexity technology and compliance projects, including aspects related to the protection and exploitation of personal and non-personal data, particularly in the banking and finance, healthcare, and utilities sectors. He advises national and international clients on a wide range of legal issues related to IT, data protection and data governance, with particular
reference to the management of complex projects with a high technological impact, particularly in the AI field.
Marco has been the Firm’s front man speaker with a talk on “interactions between blockchain and AI” in the context of the Blockchain Forum Italia, two days of meetings dedicated to the world of the blockchain and an important point of reference for all professionals and enthusiasts of fintech initiatives.
He has been also exhaustively Involved in all Privacy and Data Protection matters connected to the Firm’s ESG project “Diritto allo Studio”.
He has played a leading role in several lectures, conferences and seminars, including
“Implementation of the DORA Regulation Requirements: Key Insights,” organized in collaboration with Formalize; the seminar series “Data and Artificial Intelligence
Week in Banking” promoted by the Associazione Bancaria Italiana (ABI), where he delivered a speech entitled “Algorithmic Training, Intellectual Property Protection,
and Personal Data Protection: The Data Governance Act as a Forward-Looking Solution”; the seminar series “New Literacies and Digital Citizenship” at the Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia, focusing on “Authorship, Data and Digital Identity: (Non)Artificial Citizenship”; and a lecture within the Master in International Business at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, addressing topics related to AI, technology contracts and data governance. Marco is also a member of the
AI Committee in PedersoliGattai and co-authored the work “Responsible AI. A Global Policy Framework”, edited by I TECH LAW, first edition.
