The session will focus on the results of the research conducted within the European Digital Tech Watch (EDTW) initiative, a think tank of the School of Management at the Polytechnic University of Milan dedicated to analyzing the European digital landscape. Through a cross-disciplinary approach, EDTW aims to understand Europe’s positioning in the global landscape in terms of innovation, competitiveness, and digital sovereignty. Starting from evidence gathered through research involving more than 1,500 companies across 15 European countries, the session will analyze the state of digital technology adoption within large European organizations, highlighting the continent’s level of readiness in relation to the objectives set by the European Union in the race to develop a European AI ecosystem—considered a key element for maintaining and strengthening competitiveness in a rapidly evolving global context.
