Description

The Environmental Protection Agency of Basilicata (ARPA Basilicata), in collaboration with ARPA Puglia and Scai Solution Group S.p.A., is participating in the “Health and Environmental Control Center” (HECC) project, with the aim of developing a digital platform based on Artificial Intelligence tools dedicated to the collection, analysis, and monitoring of environmental Big Data. Within the project, ARPAB focuses its activities on the monitoring of physical agents (radioactivity, asbestos, radon, electromagnetic fields, and noise), with particular attention to their impacts on public health in the Basilicata region. Furthermore, collaboration with IRCCS CROB, which is responsible for the Cancer Registry of the Basilicata Region, enables the integration of health data analysis related to oncological diseases observed in the region and their correlation with environmental exposure, promoting a multidisciplinary approach aimed at prevention and the protection of public health.
