14 mag 2025 — 15:00 - 15:15Main Stage

Description
With more than 120 million forcibly displaced people worldwide, the humanitarian system faces unprecedented challenges. In this session, Hovig will explore how UNHCR is harnessing artificial intelligence and emerging technologies to enhance humanitarian decision-making, improve service delivery, and optimize resource allocation. Drawing on real-world examples—including predictive analytics for displacement trends, AI-supported legal assistance, automated resource prioritization, and AI-powered early warning systems—this talk will highlight how data-driven innovations are strengthening protection and resilience for refugees and crisis-affected communities. The presentation will also reflect on UNHCR’s efforts to responsibly scale AI solutions while upholding humanitarian principles and safeguarding the rights of those forced to flee.
