Ioannis Foukarakis is Principal AI Engineer at Hack The Box, where he works on benchmarking AI agents against real-world cybersecurity challenges. His work includes AI Range, a platform for evaluating and optimizing agents on real-world cybersecurity tasks. With over fifteen years of experience across machine learning, data engineering, and backend systems, and a PhD in Electrical & Computer Engineering from NTUA, his focus is on making AI evaluation in cybersecurity more rigorous and meaningful — and on understanding how capable AI agents actually are when faced with real security challenges.
