Federico Chinni is a life sciences executive with more than 20 years of national and international experience.
He began his career in the medical devices sector at Johnson & Johnson in 1998, later continuing his experience in other multinational companies such as Covidien and Sorin Group, while also serving on the board of Confindustria Dispositivi Medici. In 2012, he joined the pharmaceutical sector at AbbVie. Within the group, he held the position of Rheumatology Business Unit Head in Italy and later, at the European headquarters in Paris, served as Commercial Director for Rheumatology across Europe and Canada from 2016 to 2018. In April 2018, he joined UCB, a Belgian multinational leader in the development and commercialization of treatments for immunology, neurology, and rare diseases. Since 2019, he has been the CEO of the Italian affiliate. He also serves on the board of Farmindustria, where he is co-coordinator of the Digital & Connected Healthcare group, and on the board of Assobiotec. At INSEAD, he earned an ICC coaching certification in 2021 and a Certificate in Global Management in 2024.
