Description

Licia Garotti is Partner at PedersoliGattai Law Firm, where she heads the Technology Law and Intellectual Property department and co-heads the Fintech inter-practice group. Licia has been used playing a pivotal role in assisting clients on tech-driven and intellectual property matters, either in transactional as well as in contentious matters, also coordinating cross border litigations. Her approach is to provide legal assistance in a proactive manner with regard to IP and IT assets to determine risk factors in current or forecasted businesses such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and Web 3.0. With the integration of AI and machine learning into more sectors, enhancing everything from healthcare diagnostics to autonomous driving systems, Licia has been actively involved in exploring and implementing new forms of legal protection that go beyond traditional approaches, aiming at better safeguarding innovative and disruptive projects and involving a width range of intellectual property assets. Licia is lecturer at the International MBA in AI-Driven Business Models at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in collaboration with ICRIM and has been panelist and speaker at several Tech Law seminars, authored various publications in the field of AI, patents and copyright for both Italian and European legal magazines and co-authored the work “Responsible AI. A Global Policy Framework”, edited by I TECH LAW, first edition.
